Ada Mae (Miller) Yoder Chupp, 76, peacefully went to her eternal home on Sunday evening, February 23, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones after a two-year battle with cancer. She was born on April 13, 1948 in Millersburg, OH to Harry and Ella (Miller) Miller. Ada was married to Lester Yoder for 50 years before his passing in 2017. Together, they had three children – Rod, John and Jenny. Ada was married to her second husband, Vernon Chupp, for almost five years and they lived in Donalds, SC. He cared for her so sweetly before and during her illness.
Ada’s family was one of her greatest joys in life! She loved her friends far and near and loved being welcomed into her new South Carolina community. Ada also enjoyed working in her flower beds and always had beautiful flowers to show for her hard work.
In addition to her first husband, Lester Yoder, and parents, Harry and Ella (Miller) Miller, she was preceded in death by three grandchildren, Colton Yoder, Shyanne Helmuth and Sierra Helmuth.
Ada is survived by her three children and their spouses – Rod and Tina (Troyer) Yoder, John and Christy (Hostetler) Yoder and Jenny and Daniel Helmuth; nine grandchildren, Vincent (Christine) Yoder, Michael Yoder, Victoria Yoder, Mitchell (Destiny) Yoder, Zachary (Erika) Yoder, Gabrielle Yoder, Carson Yoder, Jacalyn Yoder and Tanner Helmuth; two great-grandchildren, James and Sienna Yoder and a new one on the way. She is also survived by her wonderful bonus family – two step-sons, Michael Chupp and David (Benita) Chupp; five step-grandchildren, Bridgette (Jason) Yoder, Brandi Chupp, Aaron Chupp, Trevor (Sierra) Chupp and Tony Chupp; and three step great-grandchildren, Nate, Avery and Duncan Yoder and a new one on the way. Also, her brother, Ray (Betty) Miller and three sisters, Elsie (Phil) Stutzman, Mary (Paul) Troyer and June Gordan.
The family will receive friends from 5:00PM – 8:00PM, Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at Lighthouse Ministries, 257 Carwellyn Road, Abbeville, SC 29620. There will also receive friends from 5:00PM – 8:00PM, Thursday, February 27, 2025, at Shiloh Mennonite Church, 7921 Woods and West Ave., London, OH 43140. Funeral services will be 11:00AM, Friday, February 28, 2025 at Shiloh Mennonite Church in London, OH with a viewing one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
