Albert Eakin Mccord

Albert E. McCord, 77, of Abbeville, husband of Joretta Myers McCord, died Friday, November 21, 2014 at Self Regional Healthcare. He was born in Abbeville to the late James Benjamin McCord, Sr. and Susan Rebecca Anderson McCord. Mr. McCord was a charter member of New Hope Presbyterian Church and retired from CSX Railroad. He served in the S.C. National Guard and was member of the Clinton Masonic Lodge #3 and the Hejaz Shriners. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers; Jack, Henry, Marion and Bradley McCord. Surviving are his wife of 44 years of the home; a daughter, Karen McCord of Covington, GA; a son, Bruce McCord and his wife Yvette of Aiken, SC; and a host of family and friends The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at New Hope Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall from 1:00PM to 2:00PM. Funeral services will begin on Tuesday in the church sanctuary at 2:30PM with the Rev. John Fastenau officiating. Burial will follow in Long Cane Cemetery. The family is at the home.
