Alice Larson Haddon

Alice Larson Haddon, 90, resident of NHC-Greenwood, wife of the late William M. 'Bill' Haddon, died Friday, May 2, 2014. Mrs. Haddon was born in Granite, Iowa to the late Rev. Robert A. and Sara Anderson Larson. She was a graduate of Kenman's Business School. Mrs. Haddon was a longtime member of Greenville Presbyterian Church where she sang in the choir and directed the music for VBS for many years. She worked at Erskine College in the library and was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. Surviving Mrs. Haddon are her four daughters, Patricia H. Cockfield (Barry) of Abbeville, Alice H. McNeil (Bill) of Abbeville, Alecia H. Raines of Anderson and Gail H. Moore (Allan) of Greenwood; a sister, Dorothy Larson Horrell of Galt, CA; ten grandchildren, Kelly C. Boulden (Tim), Kimberly C. Brady (Brent), Melissa Cason (Russ), Anne Marie Hempy (Arik), Bryan H. Raines, Jeff M. Raines, Suzanne Davignon (Josh), Elizabeth Moore, Justin Moore (Lauren) and Jarad Moore; seven great-grandchildren, Zachary Boulden, Trevor Boulden, Tanner Boulden, Blake Brady, Anna Larson Brady, Jordan Cason and Liz Cason; and a host of extended family and friends. The family will receive friends from 2:00PM to 3:00PM on Monday, May 5, 2014 in the Greenville Presbyterian Church Social Hall. Funeral services will begin at 3:00PM on Monday in the church sanctuary with the Rev. Jonathan Bowling officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family is at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bill McNeil in Abbeville.
