Alice Belle Brown Hall Anderson Hardy, 94, of Abbeville, wife of William Hardy, died Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at the Abbeville Nursing Home. She was born in West Union, SC to the late Claude Knox Brown and Eloise Amanda Shockley Brown. Alice Belle retired from Milliken & Co. – Abbeville Plant with over 30 years of service. She was a former member of Abbeville First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years before becoming a member of the former Victory Baptist Church where she was the financial secretary. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, George D. Hall, Sr. and James Palmer ‘Pete’ Anderson; four sisters, Sara Boyenga, Nora Elizabeth ‘Beth’ Elliott, Charlotte Olivia Brown, and Dorothy ‘Dot’ Earle; a brother, Charles Pickens Brown; and a grandson, John Nickles, Jr. . Alice Belle is survived by her husband, William, of Abbeville; a son George D. Hall, Jr. (Jayne); two daughters, Rita H. Gamble (Baxter) and Kathy H. Greer all of Abbeville; two sisters, Carolyn Dalton of Pendleton, and Patsy Haygood of Anderson; ten grandchildren, Tim (Christa), Shanna, Tony (Kerry Lynn), Kristy, Stephanie (Mitch), Brian (Rebecca), Troy (Stephanie), Brad (Cassie), Tyler and Casey; fourteen great-grandchildren, Danielle, Julie, Katie, Madison, Emma, Kaylynn, Nyla, Ava, Zach, Lawson, Steele, Maily, Nora, and Mya. The family will receive friends 6:00PM – 8:00PM, Friday, June 30, 2017 at Harris Funeral Home, Abbeville. Funeral services will be 11:00AM, Saturday, July 1, 2017 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Johnny Noblin and Rev. Dr. John Keith officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
