Alice Faye Williams Knox

Alice Faye Williams Knox, 89 of Abbeville died Sunday, August 11, 2024, at Lakelands Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Abbeville. She was born February 10,1935, the daughter of the late Paul G. Williams Sr. and Pearl Scott Williams. 

Alice found her calling as a homemaker dedicating her days to creating a warm and nurturing environment for her family. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters; Patti Knox Nickles and Kyle Knox Thompson; brother, Paul Williams; and five sisters, Elise Williams, Thelma Shain, Mary G. “Johnnie” Williams, Joyce Couch, and Joann W. Davis; and her former husband, James W. “Jimmy” Knox. 

Alice is survived by her daughter Merry (Ken) Hyman of Hodges; sister-in-law Jane Williams; dear friend Susan Powell; seven grandchildren, Don Stone (Erin), Jeffry Thompson, Taylor T. Rogers (Joey), Patrick Nickles (Heather), Chris Hyman (Heather), Casey Ashley (Mel), Andrew Hyman (Kelly), fourteen great-grandchildren; and her former husband’s wife Pamela Knox of Due West. 

She will be buried in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. 

In lieu of flowers the family respectfully request memorial contributions be sent to the Abbeville County Animal Shelter 79 Old Calhoun Falls Rd., Abbeville, SC 29620.
