Allen B Hagood

Allen Burton Hagood, 59, of Calhoun Falls, SC, husband of Sherry Dickinson Hagood, died Friday, November 26, 2021, at Elbert Memorial Hospital in Elberton, GA. He was born in Abbeville, SC to the late Allen Jackson Hagood and Marie Virginia Lyle Hagood.

Allen attended Abbeville County Schools and Piedmont Technical College. He was employed as a maintenance technician with Pilgrim’s Pride Corporation in Elberton, GA for nine years. Allen formerly served on the Calhoun Falls EMS and was a member of Elbert County Gun Club. Allen worshipped at Solid Rock Baptist Church in Calhoun Falls, SC

He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Sherry, of the home; four sons, Allen B. ‘BJ’ Hagood, Jr. (Trista) of Greenwood, SC, James Hagood (Elizabeth) of Antreville, SC, Dale Hagood (fiancee’, Erin Manning) of Abbeville, SC and Billy Shealy (Jessica) of Moncks Corner, SC; two daughters, Maggie Hagood of Versailles, Indiana and Melissa Jacumin (Kris) of Moncks Corner, SC; an aunt, Pat Setzer of Alto, GA; and eleven grandchildren.

The family will receive friends, 1:00PM – 2:00PM, Monday, November 29, 2021, in Harris Funeral Home, Calhoun Falls Chapel. Funeral services will begin at 2:30PM on Monday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. John Ellis officiating. Burial will follow in Rocky River Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
