Alta Marie Krauss

Alta Marie Krauss, 81, of Abbeville, SC, formerly of Virginia Beach, VA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 5, at Abbeville Area Medical Center. She was born in Virginia Beach to the late Jonas & Kate Miller. She spent over 14 years serving Jesus in Berlin, Germany. Ms. Krauss was a member of Shiloh Mennonite Church in Due West, SC. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three sisters, a brother and a nephew. She is survived by a sister, Clara Chupp and her husband, Vernon, of Due West; a sister-in-law, Charlene Russell, of Elizabeth City, and five nephews. For the past two years Marie was loved as a grandmother, sharing the home of her nephew David (Benita) Chupp and their children, Bridgette (Jason), Brandi, Aaron, Trevor, and Tony. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 1:00PM on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at Shiloh Mennonite Church. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 pm on Saturday in the Shiloh Mennonite Church Gym. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shiloh Christian School, 226 Hwy 184 W, Due West, SC, 29620. The family is at the home of Mr. & Mrs. David Chupp in Abbeville.
