Andy C Ellis

Andy C. Ellis, 52, of Due West, husband of Mickie Phillips Ellis, died Thursday, November 22, 2018 at his home. He was born in Abbeville, SC to the late Olin P. and Mollie Carrington Ellis.

Andy was a graduate of Dixie High School class of 1984. He was a life time member of Little River Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and on various committees. Andy retired from Service Laundry after 28 years of dedicated service.  In 2010 Andy, along with his family, founded the Golden Rule Ministry at Little River Baptist Church. Andy and Mickie spent years doing mission work, locally, the New England states and several states in the Appalachian Region.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Rickey Ellis.

Andy is survived by his beloved wife, Mickie, of 24 years of the home; two children that were a blessing to him, Jesse and Anna Ellis; a sister he loved, Linda Ellis Wiles and her husband Keith of Level Land; his father-in-law, Tony Phillips and his wife Emily of Greenwood; a niece, Jessica Speer and her husband, Chris, of Level Land and innumerable friends and extended family.

A Service to Celebrate Andy’s life will be held at 3:00pm, Sunday, November 25, 2018 at Little River Baptist Church. The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall.
