Arial Dean “Honey” Prince Irwin, 91, of Abbeville, died Thursday, April 12, 2018 at her home. She was born in Abbeville to the late Joseph M. and Marselle Patterson Prince.
“Honey,” as she was affectionately known, was most recently employed by the Abbeville Nursing Home. Ms. Irwin was a member of Abbeville Pentecostal Holiness Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Donald Ray Irwin; a grandson, Jon Hayes; and two sisters, Stacia Prince Langston and Murrell Ann Prince Bannister.
Ms. Irwin is survived by her children, Leisa Bowie, Franklin Irwin, both of Abbeville, and Diane Hayes (Larry) of Belton; six grandchildren, Samantha Alewine (LeeBuck), Steven Irwin, Blake Irwin (Erin), James Irwin, Nathan Bowie (Kati) and Bryan Hayes; ten great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Kara, Christine, Cain, Jessica, Jaden, Ava, Nolon, Lilly and Trey; a niece, Patti Bannister (Bob Broome); and special friends Trista, Ricky, Kirsten, Jack and Wanda.
The family will receive friends 10:30AM – 11:30AM, Monday, April 16, 2018 at Harris Funeral Home, Abbeville. Funeral services will begin at 11:30AM in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Ray Massey officiating. Burial will follow in Long Cane Cemetery.
