Barbara 'Bobbie Jean' Fisher (Giles)

Barbara ‘Bobbie’ Jean Fisher, 88, of Abbeville, wife of the late Lester ‘Junior’ Fisher, died Sunday, July 31, 2022, at NHC in Greenwood. She was born in Winston-Salem, NC to the late Tom and Lillian Little Giles.

Mrs. Fisher was employed with Huggins Garment Co. in Due West and Calvin Klein Manufacturing. She retired from the Abbeville County School District as a lunchroom attendant at Diamond Hill Elementary. Mrs. Fisher was a member of Bells United Methodist Church. Her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, held her heart.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmy Giles and Tommy Giles.

Mrs. Fisher is survived by her daughter, Tessie Taylor (Dickie) of Belton; brother, Frankie Giles (Diane) of Honea Path; sister-in-law, Martha Giles of Abbeville; two grandchildren, Trent Taylor (Amanda) and Kacie Terrell; four great-grandchildren, Alex, Zak, Charlie and Ellis.

The family will receive friends 2:00PM - 3:30PM, Wednesday, August 3, 2022, in Bells United Methodist Church. Funeral services will begin at 4:00PM in the church sanctuary with Rev. Scott Allen and Rev. Kevin Lindley officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
