A military wife, Nanny Bea supported Wounded Warriors and her patriotism was constantly evident. Previously she held membership in Willing Workers. An involved member of Lake Russell Baptist Church, she was instrumental in its building and advancement.
In addition to her parents and husband, Nanny Bea was preceded in death by two brothers, Rev. Billy Burton and Ralph Burton; a sister, Betty Ann Burton Richey and her husband, Jack; a son-in-law, Bill Wells; and a sister-in-law, Doris Burton.
