Ben Allen White

Ben A. White, 84, of McCormick, passed away on Monday, July 17, 2023 at his home. He was born in Greenwood, SC on November 23, 1938 to the late Paul Edwin White and Florence Jennings McKinney.

Mr. White was employed by the Piedmont Oil Company, Rocky River, and Greenwood Mills, serving twenty years in the textile industry before retiring in 2000. After his retirement, he continued to contribute to the community by offering professional carpet cleaning services. Mr. White was a proud member of the S.C National Guard. A member of Bethany Baptist Church in McCormick, Mr. White enjoyed golf and fishing in his free time.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Judy Broome.

Mr. White is survived by two daughters, Roxanne Robinson (James) of McCormick and Tonya Miller (Acy) of Graniteville; two sisters, Teena Wilkie and Kay Wilkie; a granddaughter, Allison Moore (Jason) and a great granddaughter, Alaina Moore.

A service to celebrate Ben's life will be 11:00AM Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at Buffalo Baptist Church, 3699 Hwy 28 S. McCormick, SC 29835. Family and friends will greet one another on Wednesday from 10:30AM to 11:00AM at the church.
