Bernice J. Hagen

Bernice J. Hagen, 97, of Iva, SC formally of Abbeville, SC and Lakehurst, NJ. died Wednesday, December 15, 2004 at her residence. She was born in Schnectady, NY to the late Jan and Louise Podgorska Tralka. Mrs. Hagen was married to the late Hans Ludwig August Hagen. She was preceded in death by her four sisters, Mae Tralka Arnold, Zora Tralka Adams, Celia and Hedwig Tralka, and four brothers, Henry, John, Francis, and Charles Tralka, also many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Hagen was survived by her daughter, Johanna Hagen Black of Iva, a son Francis (Frank) W. Hagen of Abbeville, SC, four grandchildren, Cynthia Black Lucas of Lexington, SC, Thomas G. Black of Alexandria, VA., Brad F. Hagen of Iva, SC., and Tracy Hagen Daly of Hodges, SC., five great-grandchildren, Jennifer Lucas, Alexander Black, Frank J. and B. Joseph Hagen and Kieran Daly, and one sister, Estelle Tralka Mueller of Palm Harbor, FL. Memorial Services will be held 2:00PM Monday, December 20, 2004 in the Harris Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at a later date in Holy Cross Cemetery in N. Arlington, NJ. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent to the Piedmont Agency on Aging PO Box 117 Abbeville, SC 29620.
