Betty Louise Gregory Ware, 97, of Due West, SC died Saturday, August 05, 2017 at Self Regional Healthcare in Greenwood, SC. She was born August 10, 1919 in Doraville, GA to the late Willis Russell Gregory and Susan Chesnut Gregory. Mrs. Ware was twice married first to the late, William Leonard Slater and then to the late, Thomas Curtis Ware. She was a member of the Due West Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Ware will be remembered as a godly wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Willis Gregory Galloway and her husband, George Howard Galloway, Sr.; and a great-grandson, Ryan Dailey. Mrs. Ware is survived by two sons; Rev. Gregory Chesnut Slater and his wife, Lucille Carlisle Slater of Columbia, SC and Richard Curtis Ware and his wife, Lisa Berry Ware of Alabama; four grandchildren, William Carlisle Slater, Carol Jean Gattis, Franklin Curtis Ware and his wife, Elaine, and Brandee Ware Dailey; four great-grandchildren, Austin, Adrianna, Nicole, and Jordan; one great-great grandchild; three nephews, George H. Galloway, Jr., Thomas G. Galloway, and John R. Galloway and his wife, Sharon and two great-nieces. The family will receive friends from 10:00AM to 11:00AM Monday, August 7, 2017 at the Due West ARP Church. Funeral services will follow at 11:00AM on Monday in the church sanctuary with Rev. Calvin Draffin officiating. Graveside services will be 4:00PM, Monday, August 7, 2017 in Prosperity Cemetery, 5672 Peachtree Road, Chamblee, GA 30341.
