Bobbie Jean Dickson (Roach)

Bobbie Jean Roach Dickson, 88, of Abbeville, SC went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 1, 2023, with her daughter by her side. She was born on October 28, 1934 in Anderson, SC to the late Jessie Lee and Mary Moore Roach. She was the devoted wife of the late Ned D. Dickson.

Mrs. Dickson was a member of South Side Baptist Church. She enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends, especially during holiday gatherings. Nurturing her family and fur babies gave her many hours of enjoyment. She also had a fondness for gardening and growing flowers. Most of all, Mrs. Dickson was a devoted wife, mother and friend. Her presence will be forever missed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 70 years, Ned D. Dickson; her beloved daughter, Debra Hoard; and son-in-law, Ken Stern.

Mrs. Dickson is survived by her daughter, Karen Stern and son-in-law, David Hoard.

The family wishes to thank the Agape Care caregivers; as well as, friend, Jo Anne Kuzminski, for all the love, care and attention during her illness.

Mrs. Dickson was buried alongside her loving husband at M.J. ‘Dolly’ Cooper Veterans Cemetery in Anderson.
