Bobbie Sue Childs Mundy, 84, of Abbeville, (The Watts Community), died peacefully on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at the Hospice House in Greenwood. She was married to the late Richard Langley Mundy. Mrs. Mundy was born in Elberton, GA to the late Benjamin Tillman Childs and Eva Robinson Childs. She was a 1949 graduate of Sharon School in Abbeville and a member of Warrenton Presbyterian Church where she was a former member of the Women's Circle. Mrs. Mundy was a dedicated mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who adored her family and enjoyed spending time with them. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by three sisters, Thelma Childs Wiley , Inelle Childs Wiley and Edith Childs Roberson; three brothers, William Troy Childs, Thomas Leonard Childs and George Ward Childs. Surviving Mrs. Mundy are her four daughters all of Abbeville, Candace Campbell and her husband Jimmy, Carole Hanna and her husband Danny, Cindy Scoggins and her husband Jimmy Lyn, and Betsy Dutton and her husband Ken; a sister, Erma Lee Nathan of Yardley, PA; seven grandchildren, Daniel Hanna (Robbie Jo), Benjamin Hanna (Devon), Meredith Ellisor (Clayton), Patrick Campbell (Katie), Natalie Scoggins (Jermaine Lewis), Lindsey Grace Dutton and Ana Carol Dutton; eleven great-grandchildren, Deric Hanna, Lexie Hanna, Benjamin Hanna, Jr., John Lucas Hanna, Katharina, Alex, Victoria and Braelyn Ellisor, Machaela Scoggins, Micah Lewis and Logan Kate Campbell. Graveside services will be 3:00PM Monday, March 30, 2015 in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens with the Rev. Ed Kirkpatrick officiating. The family will receive friends following the graveside.
