Bobbie Wright Watson, 85, of Walhalla, SC, wife of the Rev. James C. Watson, died Friday, September 10, 2021 at the Lakeview Assisted Living in Walhalla, SC. She was born August 3, 1936 to the late Edward Oneal and Grace Wright.
Reared in Clinton, SC, Mrs. Watson graduated from Clinton High School. After graduation, she was employed in the sewing industry. Following her marriage to Rev. Watson, Mrs. Watson joined him in ministry as a devoted minister’s wife. She was a member of Seneca Church of God of Prophecy.
Mrs. Watson is survived by her husband of 66 years, Rev. James Watson, of the home; a son, Dale Watson of Mt. Pleasant, SC; four daughters, Sharon Harmon of Summerville, SC, Rene Rausch of Hendersonville, NC, Anna Shepherd of Greer, SC and Melissa Evans of Fair Play, SC; thirteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The family extends their sincere gratitude to Gail Buckler who served as her in-home caregiver and to Dawn, Chris and the entire staff of Lakeview Assisted Living.
The family will receive friends 1:00PM - 2:00PM, Monday, September 13, 2021 in Harris Funeral Home, Calhoun Falls Chapel, 526 E. Savannah Street, Calhoun Falls, SC 29628. Funeral services will begin at 2:00PM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Andy Kinder officiating. Burial will follow in Latimer Cemetery.
