Burton 'Burt'A? P. Claytor, 75, of the Savannah Lakes Village, husband of Corky Kunz Claytor, died suddenly on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at his residence. He was born in Bayard, NE to the late Clyde Harold Claytor and Dorothy Hemphill Claytor. Mr. Claytor served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church and a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus Member in West Virginia. He was a member of the Men's Golf Association where he served as former Treasurer. Mr. Claytor was the material manager for the McCormick/Abbeville Habitat for Humanity where he also spent many hours helping build and secure funding for the houses. Surviving Mr. Claytor is his wife of 54 years of the home; three sons, Daniel Claytor his wife Margaret, their two children, son, Daniel and daughter, Haley of Rocky Mount, NC, David Claytor of Boise, ID, and his two children, son, Derrick also of Boise, ID, and daughter, Jessica Ajir and her husband Sam of Troutdale, OR, and Brian Claytor his wife Leah and their daughter, Megan of St. Peters, MO; a brother, Charles H. Claytor and his wife Jewel of Loveland, CO; and a host of friends from the Savannah Lakes Village. A Rosary Prayer Service will be held at 4:30PM Sunday, November 4, 2012 in the Good Shepherd Catholic Church Parish Hall. The family will receive friends following the service from 5:00PM to 6:00PM on Sunday. The Memorial Mass will be held Monday, November 5, 2012 at 11:00AM at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church with the Rev. Father Jeremi C. Wodecki officiating. The family is at the residence. The family respectfully request, in lieu of flowers all memorial contributions in memory of Mr. Claytor may be sent to the Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 1401 Greenwood Highway, McCormick, SC 29835 or to a charity of ones' choice.
