Cadelia Grant Alexander

Cadelia Grant Alexander, 80, of Abbeville, died Monday, November 25, 2024, at Magnolia Manor in Greenwood, SC. She was born May 1, 1944, in Chester, SC to the late Heath Grant and Ludie Belle Brooks Grant. Cadelia was reared in the home of her uncle, Marshall Gibson.

She spent her early and teenage years surrounded by the beauty of Chester and Union counties. Cadelia dedicated her career to Abbeville Shirt Makers, where she worked as a seamstress before retiring. She was proud of her faith, holding her love for the Lord close to her heart throughout her life’s journey.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Daniel Marshall Alexander and her beloved uncle, Marshall Gibson.

Cadelia is survived by her son, James E. ‘Jimmy’ Alexander of Abbeville; two grandchildren, Joseph Tyler Alexander and Dylan Alexander; and her very special friend and caregiver, Elaine Crabb.

A service to celebrate Cadelia’s life will be 2:00PM, Monday, December 2, 2024, at Harris Funeral Home, Abbeville Chapel with Pastor Jay Hendricks officiating. A private inurnment will be in Lebanon Presbyterian Church cemetery.
