Caroline Carmichael Bishop, 23, of Abbeville, beloved daughter of Wm. Thurmond and Lucia Carmichael Bishop, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, June 11, 2016. She was a graduate of Abbeville High School, Class of 2010 and graduated from Anderson University in 2015. Caroline enjoyed nature and outside activities. Camping, fishing, and hunting brought her much pleasure. Flight lessons and hours of flying a helicopter were her passion, for this she will always be remembered. She was happiest spending time with her family, friends, and all children. Her dogs were close to her heart. Caroline had a gregarious personality with a smile that brought smiles to everyone who had the opportunity to know her. She was a member of the Abbeville Presbyterian Church. Caroline was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Dr. Walter G. Bishop, Sr., and Martha Thurmond Bishop; maternal grandfather, Duncan Dean Carmichael; uncle, Dr. Walter G. Bishop, Jr; great-uncle and great-aunt, J. Stuart and Doris Jackson Land; and a cousin, Leith Paul Trask, III. Caroline is survived by her parents of Abbeville; a sister, Anna Frances Bishop Bond and her husband Matthew of Charleston, West Virginia; two brothers, John Andrew Bishop and William Bishop of Abbeville; her grandmother, Mrs. Eleanor Carmichael of Abbeville; aunts and uncles, Merry Trask, Duncan Carmichael (Melanie), James A. Bishop, Dr. J. Barry Bishop (Cindy), Ann Bishop and Anne Farrar and a host of cousins and friends. A Service to Celebrate Caroline's Life will be 4:00PM Thursday, June 16, 2016 in the Abbeville Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Dr. Greg Henley and Rev. Dick Williams officiating. Following the service, the family invites everyone to their residence for a time of reflecting and sharing.
