Carolyn Brammer Wolfer, 86, of McCormick, SC, wife of James ‘Jim’ Wolfer, died Thursday, December 19, 2024, at her home. She was born in Roanoke, VA to the late Wilton Lemon and Madelyn Bain Brammer.

Carolyn graduated from Andrew Lewis High School in Roanoke, VA. She retired from Kroger in 1999 where she was committed to service and loyalty which endeared her to both her colleagues and customers alike. Beyond her career, Carolyn was a remarkable seamstress and a talented quilter. Her contributions to the art of quilting were particularly notable during her time as a member of the Community Threads Quilting Club of McCormick. Carolyn’s talent and enthusiasm for crafting brought joy to many and she cherished the friendships formed with other quilters throughout the community. Her legacy will endure through the many lives she touched, her beautiful creations, and the cherished memories held by those who knew and loved her. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Greenwood.

Carolyn is survived by her husband of 45 years, Jim, of the home; children, Jeffery R. Geiger of Roanoke, VA, Crystal Suggs (Scott) of McCormick, Michael Wolfer (Tina) of Tulsa, OK, and Kymberly Cassada (Terrell) of Jacksonville, FL; three grandchildren, Kemper, Kennedy and Tristan and one great-granddaughter, Rose; and her fur baby, Callie.

A service to celebrate Carolyn’s life will be 2:00PM, Monday, December 23, 2024, at Harris Funeral Home, 302 N. Main Street, Abbeville, SC with Rev. Chris Christopher officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions be sent to the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation, National Headquarters, ATTN: Financial Operation, 733 Third Ave. Ste 510, New York, NY 10017.
