Christina Hershberger Raber

Christina Hershberger Raber, of Abbeville, lovingly known as Christina, passed away on September 18, 2023, at Self Regional Healthcare in Greenwood, at the age of 45. She was born in Virginia Beach, VA to Martha Mast Hershberger and the late Paul J. Hershberger.

Christina's light shone brightly from an early age. She obtained her education at Whispering Pines Mennonite School, graduating in the class of '96. Her deep faith led her to attend Harvest Christian Church, where she found spiritual solace and connected with a community of believers. As an entrepreneur and owner of Ridge Top Labradoodles in Abbeville, Christina poured her heart into raising wonderful canine companions for countless families.

Christina leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion cherished by those closest to her heart. She is survived by her beloved husband, Merle Raber, who shared in life's joys and sorrows by her side. Christina's mother, Martha, will hold dear the memories they created together. Her three children, Taylor Stoll (Weston), Dylan Raber, and Ashley Raber, were the source of immense pride and endless love. She was a caring sister to her brothers and sister: David Hershberger (Bonita) of Due West, Brenda Christiansen (Brian) of Iowa, Gene Hershberger (Mary) of Due West, and Rick Hershberger (Kim) of Due West. Christina was also cherished by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Vernon and Mary Ellen Raber of Abbeville.

The family will be receiving friends on Thursday, September 21, 2023, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Harris Funeral Home. A heartfelt tribute to Christina's life will be held on Friday, September 22, 2023, at Lighthouse Ministries, 257 Carwellyn Road in Abbeville at 11:00 AM. Following the service, she will be laid to rest in the Lighthouse Community Cemetery on Cold Springs Church Road.
