Christine Maltz Robbins

Christine Maltz Robbins, 71, of the Savannah Lakes Village, died Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at the Hospice House in Greenwood. She was born in Brooklyn, NY to the late Gerald and Hendrika Vriesenga Maltz.

Employed with Suffolk County Public Works in New York, Christine retired after an extensive tenure. She enjoyed playing Bunco with the girls and outdoor activities, including kayaking. While Christine had varied interests, her happiest times were spent shopping. She was a member of the Lutheran Church by the Lake.

In addition to her parents, Christine was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas D. Robbins; a son, Jeffrey Swezey and a brother, Robert ‘Bob’ Maltz.

She is survived by her significant other, Earl Estrella, of the home; her son, Scott Swezey of Middle Island, NY; brothers, Gerry and Ken Maltz; a sister, Cathy Maltz Fitzgerald; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A service to celebrate Christine’s life will be announced at a later date.
