Clyne "Nubbin" Ballenger

August 19, 1945 — October 26, 2013

Clyne 'Nubbin' Ballenger, 68, of Abbeville, husband of Teresa Manders Ballenger, died Saturday, October 26, 2013 at the Hospice House in Greenwood. He was born in Duncan, SC to the late Paul E. and Annie L. Powers Ballenger. Clyne retired, with 42 years of service, from the CSX Railroad and was a member of the Clinton Masonic Lodge #3. He was of the Baptist faith. Clyne served in the S.C. National Guard for six years. His passion in life was helping others. Clyne will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and faithful friend to his CSX brothers and sisters. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Shelby Ballenger Temple. He is survived by his wife of 32 years of the home; two sons, Shane Ballenger and Paul Ballenger and his wife Candice all of Abbeville; three daughters, Michele Smith and her husband Alex of Columbia, Jill Page and her husband Tim of Abbeville and Adrienne Dawn Ballenger of Columbia; three grandchildren, Landon Page, Ivy Kate Page and Scarlett Smith. The family will receive friends from 6:00PM to 8:00PM on Monday, October 28, 2013 at Harris Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2:00PM Tuesday, October 29, 2013 in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens with Masonic Rites. The family is at the residence on Stevenson Road, Abbeville. In Clyne's own words, "I'll see you when I see you"!
