Connie Monroe Carlisle

Connie Monroe Carlisle, 86, of Calhoun Falls, passed away peacefully at Wesley Commons on April 8, 2025. Born on Christmas Eve 1938, she was the daughter of the late Horace Ray Monroe and LouElla Fagan Monroe. In 1957, she married Boyce Henry Carlisle and they were married for 66 years.

Connie was a cheerful and kind person with a love of life, family and friends. She was dedicated to her small community and her home was a gathering place for young and old alike. She had a passion for her home and gardens and created a beautiful and tranquil place to share with others. Her sense of humor was contagious, she loved to laugh and have a good time. Connie was a talented pianist and loved to play and sing. She was also a passionate animal lover and rescued many of them.

Connie was a faithful member of Calhoun Falls Pentecostal Church, which she loved dearly. She served as treasurer for many years and also assisted with Children’s Church. If anyone needed a way to get to church, she made sure that they could get there. Connie happily served at countless dinners, gatherings, wedding and baby showers. She helped rear many children in the community through ‘The Little People Place’, a family-owned day care.

She lived a happy life. Her family was her heart and soul and she was always active and involved in her loved one’s lives and activities. She had many close friends and neighbors that were also considered family.

In addition to her husband, Boyce Henry Carlisle, and her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved son, Steven Ray Carlisle.
