Dale Long Magaha, 68, of Donalds, S.C, beloved wife of Freddy Magaha, died on Monday, September 23, 2024, at Self Regional Healthcare. She was born in Spartanburg County to the late Clyde Griffin and Lillie Christine Moore Long.
Mrs. Magaha was a proud graduate of Dixie High School, class of 1974, where she was actively involved in different sports including basketball, cheerleading, and softball. She dedicated many years of service to the Bank of Hodges, which merged with Palmetto Bank, and retired from what is now known as United Community Bank. Mrs. Magaha found joy in various activities including cooking, baking, and sewing, but her greatest happiness came from spending quality time with her grandchildren. She was a member of Keowee Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Freddy Magaha, with whom she celebrated 50 years of marriage in August of this year; her children, Jennifer Magaha Goldman and her husband Sean of Greenwood and Gavin Magaha and his wife Lindsey of Donalds; a brother, Clyde Allen "Rocky" Long and his wife Debbie of Donalds; four cherished grandchildren, Sawyer Goldman, Thatcher Magaha, Brady Magaha, and Anna Grace Lewis and her husband Christian; along with two great-grandchildren, Campbell and Elias Lewis.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Harris Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 3:30 PM in the funeral home chapel, officiated by Rev. Richard Ashley. A private family burial will take place on Thursday in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
The family are at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gavin Magaha in Donalds.
