Dana McDonald Ellis

Dana McDonald Ellis, 68, of Donalds, wife of Carol H. Ellis, died Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at Self Regional Healthcare in Greenwood.   Born January 3, 1956, she was the daughter of the late James William McDonald and Katherine Patricia ‘Patsy’ Pearman McDonald.

Dana graduated from Dixie High School, Class of 1974.   She worked for over twenty years at Erskine College and spent several years working for the Town of Due West before she retired.  She will forever be remembered for her passionate support of the Clemson Tiger football team.  Dana cheered wholeheartedly for every game and rejoiced in the victories experienced by her beloved Tigers.  She was a devoted wife and mother who loved her people fiercely.  Dana was a member of Donalds United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, John McDonald and sister, Millie McDonald.

Dana is survived by her husband of 49 years, Carol, of the home; daughter, Jana Ellis Burton (Josh) of Donalds and her son, T. J. Ellis of Greenville.

Graveside services will be 2:00PM, Friday, February 16, 2024, in Donalds Baptist Church Cemetery.
