David George "Tojo" Forrester

David (Tojo) Forrester, 71, of 1679 Bell Road Antreville, husband of Nancy W. Forrester, died Friday, December 02, 2005 at the Hospice House of the Upstate. He was born in Abbeville County to the late Henry M. and Mary Eliza Suttles Forrester. Mr. Forrester was a retired Pipe Fitter and was presently in his sixteenth year as an Abbeville County Councilman. He enjoyed farming, auctioneering, and being a volunteer Fireman for the Antreville Fire Department. Mr. Forrester had served his community proudly and was always looking for how he could better serve Abbeville County. Mr. Forrester was preceded in death by his sister, Louise Forrester. He is survived by his wife of 30 years of the home, a daughter, Winona Smith of Anderson, two step-sons, Barry and Benny McCready of Pennsylvania, two step-daughters, JoAnn McCready of Honea Path, and Vicki McCready of Pennsylvania, a sister, Jean Nicholson of Antreville, a brother-in-law, Frank Nicholson of Antreville, two nieces, Mary Frances Nicholson of Antreville and Rhonda Craft of Greenwood, two grandchildren, Tanden and Preston Smith of Anderson and one step-granddaughter, Ryan Edwards of Belton. The family will receive friends from 6:00PM to 8:00PM Saturday, December 3, 2005 at Harris Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be 2:00PM Sunday, December 4, 2005 at the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Antreville. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
