Diane Suggs Simpson

Diane Suggs Simpson, 79, of Abbeville, wife of the late Homer Korrell Simpson, died Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at the Abbeville Area Medical Center. She was born in Abbeville, SC to the late Leon and Emma Lerue Carter Suggs.

A proud graduate of Abbeville High School class of 1964, Diane embodying the spirit of dedication, worked for many years at Fuji Film Plant before transitioning to Yoders Restaurant in Abbeville. Her commitment to family and faith was evident throughout her life; she was a devoted member of the Abbeville Church of God, where she found fellowship and support.

In addition to her parents and her late husband Homer Korrell Simpson, Diane was preceded in death by three step-children, Kevin Simpson, Jeff Simpson, and Rhonda Simpson.

Mrs. Simpson is survived by her two sons, Randy Bratcher and Brian Bratcher (Lisa) of Abbeville; a step-daughter, Martie Strickland (Johnny) of Anderson; two brothers, Robert Suggs (Shirley) of Greenwood and Marion Suggs of Abbeville; nine grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 1:00PM to 2:00PM on Friday, April 25, 2025 at Harris Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin on Friday at 2:30PM in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Scotty Sherfield officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.

The family is at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Justin Bratcher, 1147 Old Calhoun Falls Rd, Abbeville, SC.
