Dianna Collins Smart, 79, of Plum Branch, SC, wife of the late Chief William ‘Bill’ Smart, Sr., US Navy, Ret., died Monday, December 2, 2024, at the home of her daughter in Lincolnton, GA. She was born in Conway, SC to the late Major Collins and Emma Baker Collins.

Dianna, a cherished mother, lived a life full of love, generosity and dedication to those she held dear. She was a proud graduate of Winyah High School in Georgetown, SC. Dianna had a successful career as an Avon District Manager, retiring after 26 years of loyal service. Her children were the center of her universe and she poured her heart into creating a warm and welcoming home. Known for her exceptional cooking skills, Dianna had a special talent for bringing families together around the table, especially during the Christmas season – a time she cherished immensely. In addition to her family, she embraced other passions that brought her joy. Dianna delighted in shopping excursions, particularly for shoes and jewelry. She was a member of Plum Branch Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Earl Collins and sisters, Bernice Cullipher, Geraldine Cannon and Carolyn White.

Dianna is survived by her children, Bill Smart, Jr. and his wife, Marcia, of Plum Branch, SC, Carla Smart-Wiggins and her husband, Woody, of Lincolnton, GA, Scott Smart and his wife, Melanie, of Plum Branch, SC, and Vince Smart and his wife, Kristen, of Evans, GA; brother, Marvin Collins of Murrells Inlet, SC; seven grandchildren, William, Trevor, Megan, Scott, Jr., Haleigh, Blaine and Cassy; and eleven great-grandchildren.

A service to celebrate Dianna’s life will be 2:00PM, Saturday, December 7, 2024, at Plum Branch Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Dalton officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.

The family will be at their respective homes.
