Dillon A Dansby

May 15, 1995 — November 12, 2016

Dillon A. Dansby, 21, of Abbeville, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 12, 2016 where he is happy and not in any pain. He was born in Greenwood to John and Patti Childers Dansby. Dillon was a 2013 graduate of Abbeville High School. He had started a new job that he enjoyed with Mike "Blue" Manley and Tyler Brown and worked with his "Paw" (Al Dansby) on the family farm. Dillon was a member of the Abbeville County Forest Land Owners Association. Fishing, hunting, and mud riding brought him much pleasure with his friends. He was a member of Rice Memorial Baptist Church where he loved his preacher, Alvin Hodges. He has already begun working from heaven to change this world and help those that are lost and struggling with similar pain. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Darvin L. Childers. Dillon is survived by his parents; John Dansby (his awesome friend) and his mom, Patti Dansby (his loving and worrisome mom); a sister, Beth Dansby (his closest companion); a brother, Casey Leland Mundy (who always kept an eye on him); maternal grandmother, Rose H. Childers of Abbeville; paternal grandmother, Carolyn Seagle and her husband, Scott of Abbeville; paternal grandfather, Al Dansby, of Abbeville; his best-friend, his dog, Barrett; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. A Service to Celebrate Dillon's Life will be 2:00PM, Wednesday, November 16, 2016, in the Harris Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Alvin Hodges officiating. The family will greet relatives and friends immediately following the service in the chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions, in memory of Dillon, may be sent to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 950 W. Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605 or the charity of one's choice. The family is at the home. A message of condolence may be sent to the family by visiting www.harrisfuneral.com. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Abbeville is assisting Dansby family.
