Dolly Carlene White

Dolly Carlene Howard White, 66, beloved wife of the late James Earl “Frog” White Jr., died Saturday, March 1, 2025, at the Abbeville Area Medical Center. Born October 1, 1958 in Macon, GA, she was the daughter of the late Elbert Joel Howard and Aurelia Pauline Gregory Howard

A dedicated seamstress, Dolly retired from Calvin Klein, Ind. Her artistry extended beyond fabric and thread; she wove warmth into the lives of those around her. She was a cherished member of the Lowndesville and Iva communities and will be remembered fondly by those who knew her. Though life brought its share of joys and sorrows, Dolly met each day with resilience and an open heart.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, W. L. Hightower, Pearl Bales, Rounette Seales, Virgil Hightower, Janice Daniels, Richard Lee Reynolds, Nancy Woods, Katherine Vincent, Pansy Hightower, and Montine Richey. 

Dolly is survived by her two sisters, Kay Beasley and Roenelle Daniels and her caregiver, Tammy Ellege.

Graveside services will be held 1:00PM Friday, March 7, 2025, in Plum Branch Cemetery with the Rev. Scotty Willoughby officiating.
