Dorothy Hammond Langley, 77, of Greenville, wife of the late Samuel A. Langley, died Friday, June 1, 2012 at the Greenville Memorial Hospital. She was born in Abbeville, SC to the late Lonnie and Vallie Mae Simmons Hammond. Mrs. Langley retired after many years of dedicated service from the Greenville County Health Department and was a member of West Minister Presbyterian Church in Greenville. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Gene Langley and a sister Peggy Suttles. Surviving Mrs. Langley are her two daughters, Jean 'Pinky' Epps and her husband Joe of Taylors, SC and Eva Marie Colodonato of Greenville, SC; a son, John Wesley Langley of Greenville, SC; two sisters, Margaret Bearden (Wallace) of Anderson and Judy Webb of Greenwood; ten grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 2:00PM to 3:30PM on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at Harris Funeral Home in Abbeville. Funeral services will begin at 4:00PM on Tuesday in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Lebanon Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
