Earl Anderson (Andy) Botts, Jr., 52, of Abbeville, died Friday, January 8, 2016 at his home. He was born in Greenwood, SC to the late Earl Anderson Botts, Sr. and Ann Dillashaw Botts. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Tina Botts Gwinn and a brother, Kip Todd Botts. Andy was a 1981 graduate of Abbeville High School where he was affectionately known as "King Earl". His friends continued to identify him with this name throughout his life. Andy was employed with Milliken & Co. for 20 years. Cooking was his area of expertise and was enjoyed by many who knew him. Andy was an avid fan of the Atlanta Braves and enjoyed Nascar. The music of Elvis Pressley and Kid Rock brought him great pleasure. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed life to the fullest. Andy is survived by his two daughters, Kristen Botts Metts and her husband, Nate of Hodges and Nikki Botts Simmons of Ninety Six; a sister, Judy Botts Snyder and her husband, Larry and their son Spencer of Aiken; five grandchildren, Hunter, Kade, Annabelle, Carson, and Kenzie; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that memorials, in memory of Andy, be sent to Faith Home, 144 Faith Home Road, Greenwood, SC 29649. A memorial service, to celebrate Andy's life, will be held 11:00am, Saturday, January 23, 2016, in Harris Funeral Home Abbeville Chapel with Rev. Alvin Hodges officiating.
