Edna Scott "Pat" Ware

April 4, 1931 — December 7, 2013

Edna (Pat) Scott Ware, 82, of Abbeville, wife of William T. Ware, Sr., went to her home in heaven on Saturday, December 7, 2013. She was born in Abbeville County to the late George E and Pearl Mahaffey Scott. Mrs. Ware was a member of Little Mountain Presbyterian Church. She was a resident of National Health Care in Greenwood where she was so kindly cared for by her loving aides, nurses, and doctors. They were a blessing to her. She will be best remembered for her love of her grandchildren and feeding everyone who came into her kitchen. She knew the true meaning of unconditional love and lived it every day. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her son, William (Bill) T. Ware, Jr., along with three brothers, John, Bud, and Emmett Scott, and three sisters, Ruby Mobley, Pauline Stone and Inez Stone. Surviving Mrs. Ware is her husband of 62 years of the home; a son, Clyde Ware and his wife Jeanne; her daughter, Cindy McClinton and her husband Joey, a brother, Perrin Scott and sisters Sookie Able and Mary Cartledge, all of Abbeville. Eight grandchildren, Ben Ware of Laurens, Lee Ware of Due West, Sam Ware of Mary Ester, FL, Ivy Vartanian and her husband Lee of Greenwood, Matthew Ware of Springdale, AR, Haven Ware of Lynchburg, VA, Casey Mlinar and her husband Ryan of Greenwood and Jessica McClinton of Greenwood; on great granddaughter, Joanna Grace Mlinar who was the light of her life for the last 16 months. The family will receive friends from 1pm to 2pm on December 11th, 2013 at Little Mountain Presbyterian Church in the social hall. Funeral services will begin at 2:00pm in the sanctuary with Rev. Chris Meyer officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The families are at their respective homes.
