Elizabeth ‘Betty’ Alewine Clamp, 79, of Donalds, wife of the late Bobby Ray Clamp, died Wednesday, January 4, 2022 at her home. She was born in Abbeville to the late George and Lillie Mae Rampey Alewine.
A graduate of Dixie High School, Betty retired from the Abbeville County School District where she efficiently accomplished numerous clerical duties. Betty held her family close to her heart. She will be remembered for her loving and caring spirit. Betty was a member of Little River Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Alewine and sister, Doris Crawford.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Teresa Nabors (Mike) of Donalds; sister, Peggy Poore (Phillip) of Belton; three grandchildren, Kurstin Nabors (J.D. Broadwell), Kaylah Nabors (Zachary Woods) and Kaitlyn Nabors (Steven Riddle); five great-grandchildren and two on the way.
The family will greet friends and loved ones from 1:00PM - 2:00PM, Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at Harris Funeral Home, Abbeville Chapel. Funeral services will begin at 2:00PM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
The family is at the home in Donalds.
