Elizabeth "Betty" Graham Forsyth, 81, resident of 165 Double H Farm Road, wife of Robert Bruce Forsyth for 57 years, died May 17, 2006 at her home. Born May 18, 1924 in St. Paul, Minnesota, she was a daughter of the late Leslie and Bertha Norma Barron Graham. Mrs. Forsyth was previously a resident of Simpsonville and was a former employee of Bob Jones University. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Antreville where she taught the Ladies Sunday School Class. Surviving in addition to her husband of the home are two sons, Thomas Hamilton Forsyth of Piedmont and James Robert Graham Forsyth of Easley; six daughters, Leah Elizabeth Detamore of Hodges, Madelaine Ann Dodgens of Elche, Spain, Barbara Helen Semanach of Oakley, Michigan, Norma Forsyth Lunn of Landrum, Rebecca Dale Kaiser of Taylors and Joanne Valerie Johnk of Piedmont; 26 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Antreville with Rev. Ray Hansel officiating. Pallbearers will be Willie C. Johnk, Robert C. Lunn, Scott Detamore, Ethan J. Johnk, Aaron Semanach, Will C. Johnk, II. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family is at the home in Donalds and will receive friends at Harris Funeral Home in Abbeville from 6 to 8 Friday evening. The body will be placed in the church at 1:00 p.m. Saturday.
