Elizabeth Hartzog Viracola

Elizabeth 'Betsy' Hartzog Viracola, 79, of Raleigh, NC died January 21, 2015 at Rex Hospital, in Raleigh, NC. She was born in Anderson, SC to the late Thomas Baton Still and Pearl Baldwin Still. Betsy graduated from the University of South Carolina and received her master's degree from Memphis State University. She taught drama in the Charlotte Mecklenburg school system and was of the Methodist faith. Betsy will be fondly remembered by her family and many students she taught during her career as an educator. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Rocky Viracola and sister, Jane Anderson Still. Betsy is survived by her two sons, Thomas Viracola and his wife Cheryl and Charles Viracola, all of Raleigh, NC; and seven grandchildren. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, January 24, 2015 in the Due West ARP Church Cemetery with Rev. Calvin Draffin officiating.
