Ethel S. Brewer

Ethel S. Brewer, 72, of 904 Garrison St. wife of the late Sam R. Brewer died Monday, October 18, 2004 at Self Regional HealthCare. She was born in Commerce, GA to the late Fred L. and Myrtle Bruce Sears. Mrs. Brewer was a member of the Pressly A.R.P. Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers, Charles and Dwayne Sears, and a sister, Wilma Dupree. Mrs. Brewer is survived by her daughter, Brenda B. Creswell and her friend Bruce Deal of Troy, SC, four brothers, Wayne Sears of W. Columbia, SC, Jack Sears of Anderson, SC, Bobby Sears of Lexington, SC, and Carlton Sears of Commerce, GA, three sisters, Faye Hembree of Huntsville, Ala, Betty McKinney of Lexington, SC, and Shirley Hembree of Gainesville, GA, two grandchildren, Richard L. Creswell and his wife Dee Dee of Lincolnton, GA, and Tandy W. Creswell of McCormick, also two great-grandchildren, Cody R. Creswell, and Hunter M. Creswell. Mrs. Brewer will be most remembered as being a wonderful mother, grandmother, and friend. The family will receive friends from 2:00PM to 3:00PM (TODAY) October 20, 2004 at the Pressly A.R.P Church. Graveside Services will follow at 3:00PM in Overbrook Cemetery with the Revs. Lanis Lewis, Terry Bonds, and Eldredge Kelley conducting the service. Pallbearers will be Roy Hood, Tony Brewer, Jackie Edmunds, Butch Major, Brent Jennings and Charlie Edmunds.
