Ethel Young Wilson, 97, of Abbeville, wife of the late Ralph Edward Wilson, died Monday, September 3, 2012 at the Sterling House in Greenwood. She was born in Abbeville to the late Cliff and Henrietta Martin Young. Mrs. Wilson retired from the Milliken Abbeville Plant with many years of dedicated service and was of the Methodist faith. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Phillip Edward Wilson; three brothers, Ray, Jim and Charles Young; and a sister, Eula May McCurry. Surviving Mrs. Wilson are her four daughters, Marie Watt and her husband Dennis of Taylors, SC, Carolyn Cantrell and her husband Ted of Greenwood, SC, Pat Brubaker and her husband Richard of Ray City, GA and Gail Wilson Richey of Abbeville; a brother, Arthur Young of Abbeville, SC; two sisters, Frances Clark and Mary Speer both of Abbeville, SC; fourteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 3:00PM to 4:30PM on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at Harris Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 5:00PM in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. David Wilson and the Rev. Karen Radcliff officiating. Burial will follow in the Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. The family is at their respective homes.
