Eunice Hazel Powell

Eunice Hazel Powell, 73, of Calhoun Falls, SC died Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at Self Regional Healthcare in Greenwood, SC.  She was born October 20, 1943 to the late John M. and Lou Ella Evans Powell.  Eunice never had any children of her own; however, she was regarded as a second mother to many nieces and nephews.  Eunice was truly a wonderful friend to many.  She will be greatly missed for not only her motherly love, but for her friendship as well.  Eunice was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard Powell and John L. Powell and a sister, Grace Mobley. Eunice is survived by two sisters, Jeweline Putnam and Mary Strickland (Junior), both of Calhoun Falls, SC. The family will receive friends 3:00PM – 4:00PM, Friday, June 23, 2017, at Harris Funeral Home, Calhoun Falls Chapel, 526 E. Savannah Street, Calhoun Falls, SC.  Funeral services will begin at 4:00PM with Rev.
