Evelyn Bratcher Page, 89, of Abbeville, wife of the late Benjamin L. Page, died Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at her residence. She was born in Abbeville County to the late Ellis Clyde Bratcher and Macy Estell Campbell Bratcher. Mrs. Page was a life-long member of South Side Baptist Church where she was a member of the Dorcas Sunday School class. She was formerly very active in all areas of the church including nursery worker, chairperson of the Bereavement Committee, Sunday School Teacher, and choir member. Mrs. Page also served as an active member of the SC Locksmith Association, Ladies Auxiliary. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Ronnie Clyde Page; two sisters, Frances Bratcher and Ezzie Lee Page; a brother, E.C. Bratcher; a great-grandson, Patrick Gates; and a great-great grandson, Levi Hurt. Mrs. Page is survived by her six children, Fay Wilde (Bob), Mary Stamps (Bobby), Sadie Johnson, Kathy Scott (Dennis), Frank Page (Betty), and Johnny Page (Rita); one sister, Sylvia Page Alberson (Charlie, Jr.); seventeen grandchildren; forty-one great-grandchildren; eleven great-great-grandchildren; and a close neighbor and friend Barbara Shockley. The family will receive friends from 6:00PM to 8:00PM on Thursday, April 23, 2015 at Harris Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 3:00PM, Friday, April 24, 2015 in South Side Baptist Church with Rev. Jonathan Shelor and Rev. Earl Hartley officiating. Burial will follow in Keowee Baptist Church Cemetery, Honea Path. The family is at her residence. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions, in memory of Mrs. Page, may be sent to Hospice Care of the Piedmont, 408 W.
