Fannie Mae Banks Hodge

Fannie Mae Banks Hodge, 74, of Abbeville, wife of John Hodge, died peacefully on Monday, February 07, 2011 at her residence. She was born in Washington, GA to the late William G. and Agnes Barrett Hendrix. Mrs. Hodge worked for Bloomsberg Mill, Milliken – Abbeville Plant and Southern Cash Grocery for many years. After retiring from Southern Cash, she worked for Hodge Frozen Food. Mrs. Hodge was a member of the Abbeville First Baptist Church. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. Mrs. Hodge is survived by her husband of 38 years of the home; two sons, Wayne Banks and his wife Tammy of Sedalia, Missouri and Johnny Banks and his wife Kathy of Abbeville; a daughter, Linda McCoy Hodge of Abbeville; a brother, Richard Hendrix of Ormond Beach, FL; six sisters, Reba Thornton of Washington, GA, Ruth Rogers of Washington, GA, Marjorie Bunch of Tignall, GA, Mary Burt of Washington, GA, Patricia Lindsey of Kennesaw, GA and Kathy Hendrix of Thomson, GA; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 2:30PM to 3:30PM on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at Harris Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow in the funeral home chapel at 4:00PM on Wednesday.
