Faye Perry Hamby

Faye Perry Hamby, 80, of Abbeville, wife of the late Robert Allen Hamby, Sr., died Sunday, September 8, 2024, at Self Regional Healthcare. She was born in Abbeville to the late Bob and Virginia Long Perry. 

Mrs. Hamby was a proud graduate of Abbeville High School, class of 1962, and was a member of Lebanon Presbyterian Church. Her dedication to her work was reflected in her many years of service at Princes Uniforms and Accessories. Above all, she cherished her role as a mother and especially being a Nana to her two grandsons.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, John Robert Perry. 

Mrs. Hamby is survived by her son, Bobby A. Hamby, Jr. and his wife Stephanie of Abbeville; two grandsons, Derrick James Hamby and John Allen ‘Jay’ Hamby. 

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, from 11:00AM to 12:00noon at Harris Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin on Wednesday at 12:00PM with Mr. Pat Hodge officiating. Burial will follow in Long Cane Cemetery. 

The family is at the home of Bobby and Stephanie Hamby.
