Floride Partlow Hester LeRoy, wife of John Levis LeRoy, Sr. passed away peacefully at home September 15, 2017 surrounded by family and loving caregivers. Flo was born in Calhoun Falls, SC on August 13, 1929. She was the daughter of Floride Alice McCelvey and James Partlow Hester. She married the love of her life, John Levis LeRoy, also known as her Mr. Wonderful, in 1952 and they enjoyed 65 years together. She spent three plus decades serving the Calhoun Falls community and was generous with her time and resources. The annual Town Wide Yard Sale, begun in 1981, was a highlight and a joy for Flo. It served to gather many people together and was second only to the annual Christmas parade. Flo was a member of the Calhoun Falls Presbyterian Church and was devoted to Jesus Christ. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She always tried to love, assist, and encourage her family and students to develop their interests, talents, and faith.
