Frances Wiley Brown

Frances Wiley Brown, 89, wife of the late John Pat Brown, Sr., of Calhoun Falls died Monday, August 11, 2014 at Abbeville Area Medical Center. She was born in McCormick, SC to the late Jodie A. Wiley, Sr. and Sallie Butler Wiley. Mrs. Brown was a dedicated employee at Burlington Mills in Calhoun Falls for 45 years and a long-time member of Northside Baptist Church. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Otis, Franklin and Mabry Wiley and three sisters, Lois Pinson, Geneva McCurry and Mary Hall. Mrs. Brown is survived by her son, John Pat Brown, Jr. (Sheryl) of Abbeville; a daughter, Linda Porter, of Calhoun Falls; two brothers, James Wiley (Judy) of Lowndesville and Jodie Wiley, Jr. (Judy) of Abbeville; a sister, Vera Leverette, of Calhoun Falls; three grandchildren, Kela Martin, Wendy Klein and Jim Porter; eight great-grandchildren, Victoria, Grayson, Taylor, Andrew, Bethany, Jim ("Bubba"), Addison and Carson; and a sister-in-law, Linda Wiley, of Abbeville. The family will receive friends from 1:00PM to 2:30PM Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at Harris Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 3:00PM in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Mike McMinn officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. The family is at the home of her son, John Pat Brown.
