Frances Lois Combs

Frances Lois Smith Combs, 73, of Donalds, wife of William H. Combs, passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2007 at the HospiceCare of the Piedmont Hospice after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was a native of Lost Creek, KY, and had been a resident of S.C. since 1986. Mrs. Combs was born in Whick, KY to the late Charles and Odessa Noble Smith. She was a member of the Fellowship and Group and a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brother, Roy Mitchell Smith. Surviving Mrs. Combs is her husband of 48 years of the home, a daughter, Leslie Y. Barnhill and her husband David of Travelera?(TM)s Rest, SC, two sons, Allen B. Combs and his wife Irisa of Inman, SC, and Charles H. Combs and his wife Charlotte of Donalds, SC., a brother, Eugene Smith of Lost Creek, KY, and five grandchildren. A Memorial service will be held 1:00PM Friday, March 9, 2007 at the Harris Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the family cemetery in Lost Creek, KY.
