Francis Elwood ‘Frank’ Rousseau, born on March 26, 1943, in Pittsburgh, PA passed away at his home on March 27, 2025, in McCormick, SC. He had just celebrated his 82nd birthday.

Frank is survived by his beloved wife of forty six years, Ada, his step-daughter Amber Hertik and her husband Phil of Nashville, TN, step-son Drew Pensyl and his wife Allison of Danville, PA, daughter-in-law Jane Pensyl of Camp Hill, PA, his five grandchildren Natalie Meyer (Alex) of Seattle, WA, Alex Pensyl (Alejandra) of Brooklyn, NY, Dylan Pensyl of Philadelphia, Pa, Morgan Hertik (Tony) of Nashville, TN and Austen Hertik of San Francisco, CA and his two great grandchildren Chase and Elliot Meyer.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents Frank, Sr. and Eleanor Rousseau, his brother, Raymond and step-son, Glenn Pensyl.

Frank attended the California University of Pennsylvania and West Virginia University. He worked as the Head of Speech Pathology and Audiology Division at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA until leaving to start his own business in Huntingdon, PA. In 1995, Frank moved to the Savannah Lakes Community in McCormick, SC for a position at the St. Nicholas Speech and Hearing Center in Greenwood, SC. Frank also worked for the McCormick County School District until his retirement.

Frank was a charter member of the Lutheran Church by the Lake. He was an avid sportsman and played in several tennis leagues over the years, he was a relentless fisherman and loved skiing. Besides traveling the world with Ada, Frank enjoyed playing cards with his poker club and themed dinners with his supper club. He loved Frank Sinatra and jazz music. Frank was often found on the dance floor whenever music was playing. He faithfully cheered for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Nittany Lions. Frank loved his pontoon boat, spending endless hours on Lake Raystown in PA and Lake Thurmond in Savannah Lakes. Frank had several faithful Labrador retrievers during his lifetime and they were all known to be well trained and loving dogs to his family.

Private services are being planned by the family.
