Freda Joan Baggett

Freda Joan Baggett, 75, of Abbeville, wife of Hank Olen Baggett, died Thursday, August 17, 2023, at Self Regional Healthcare. She was born in Syracuse, NY to the late Leo Edison and Edna Schutt Eichorn.

Freda was a proud graduate of Chamberlain High School’s class of 1966. After graduating high school, she dedicated herself to working as a mortgage broker and realtor. She was always passionate about helping people find affordable housing. Beyond her professional pursuits, Freda was actively involved in the community. She believed in giving back and making a positive impact wherever she could. One of her proudest accomplishments was being a long-time member of the Carrollwood Area Business Association.

Along with her parents, Freda was preceded in death by a son, Edward ‘Eddie’ Raymond Beil; two brothers, Leo Edison Eichorn, Jr. and Fredrick Eichorn; and a sister, Everlyn Rich.

In addition to her husband of 14 years, she is survived by her daughter, Heather Couture (Rob) of Raleigh, NC; a brother, Christopher Eichorn of Goose Creek, SC; three sisters, Edena Merrill of Lakeland, FL, Leola Daly of Mt. Pleasant, SC, and Carol Moses of Goose Creek, SC; two grandchildren, Quentin Couture (Grace) and Tyler Couture; a great-granddaughter, Harper Couture.
