George Walter Taylor

George Walter Taylor, 79, formerly of Minneapolis, KS, passed away January 14, 2013 in Anderson, SC, after a lengthy illness. Born in Guide Rock, Nebraska, on July 7, 1933, he was the son of Ralph and Goldie (Weigel) Taylor. George graduated from Mpls High School and married Shirley Jean Kriegh, Nov 28, 1954. George served in the Navy during the Korean War. He was a longtime employee of AT&T working as an electronic technician. He was passionate about his grandchildren and RV camping with family and friends. George is survived by his wife Shirley of 58 years; three children, Kimberly Taylor and husband Wayne Gens of SC, Mitchell and Shawn Taylor of KS. George was blessed with six grandchildren, Morgan, Melissa, and Delaney Taylor and Jadon, Jacob, and Caleb Taylor and great-grandchild Amia Taylor. Graveside services with military honors will be held Friday, January 18, 2013 at 1:00PM in MJ Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery in Anderson, SC.
